FATHER AND SONS WORCESTER ENGLAND 12-14 JUNE 2009 Beloved Prayer Partner and Intercessor There has been a general expectation amongst most evangelical ministers that the scene is in the process of being set by the Lord to initiate a massive global revival. This expectation is in my heart and from the information I received from England there seem to be a similar expectation. Let us therefore step out in faith and believe that in these last days God will pour out his Spirit in an unprecedented way as on the day of Pentecost. Let us believe for signs, wonders and miracles to be evident at all the meetings. Mk16:20; Acts 4:29-31; Acts 19:11-12. Let us also pray more specifically that: Angus is equipped by the Holy Spirit to minister in the demonstration of the Spirit and of power. 1Cor 2:1-5 The Holy Spirit will graciously create a hunger and thirst for the righteousness of Christ. Math 5:6. There will be a true response to the call of God for the fulfillment of the prophesy in Isaiah 55:1-5. The Stumbling block (strongholds) be taken out of the way of the people that God has earmarked for salvation and that there will be a humble and a contrite spirit in the people so that they may experience revival in their own hearts. Isaiah 57:14-15; 2Cor 10:3-6. Every one is made aware of the cleansing and overcoming power of the blood of Christ. 1Jn 1:7, 9; Rev 12:11. New born babes (saints) will desire the sincere milk of the word that they may grow thereby. 1Pet2:2 Gifted men be raised up for the further equipping of the new converts and recommitted Christians (saints) for the ongoing work of the ministry and to bring them to maturity in Christ. Eph 4:11-16 None of the new converts and those that recommitted themselves to the Lord may be lost! John 17:12; Jn 6:39. Remember that we are never alone in our prayers, supplications, petitions and intercessions because Christ ever lives to make intercession for us and remember that when he saves he saves to the uttermost. Update on Angus

Just to clarify that Angus is fine.  He has not been admitted to hospital again nor has had a stroke.

This article was writed by Shalom Ministries Oom Angus had a good heart-to-heart with all the men here at MMC’09 in this morning’s session and inspired us all to ‘get back to the basics’ with Jesus Christ!  As he explained you can expect to be challenged along the way, you’ll have to take some strain but STICK TO IT!  He was SO excited to share his heart and experiences that he even did several push-ups on stage and then continued to have a good sprint across the stage.  All of this in the heat of the day!  You GO Oom Angus! His energy for life and his passion for the Lord is inspiring! We can confirm that Oom Angus fainted a little while after leaving the stage.  The on site medical staff confirmed that he suffered from dehydration and exhaustion mainly due to the long session in the heat.  As a precaution Oom Angus has been transferred by helicopter to Pietermaritzburg Medi Clinic for medical tests and observation.  Oom Angus is in a stable condition and we expect the programme to continue as planned for the Sunday morning service at Shalom Farm.

Prayer Letter – MMC’09‏

Dear Prayer Partner

I want to thank you again for all the prayer support you have given Shalom Ministries especially the prayer support you have given Angus and Jill personally. As the weekend of the 24th April draws nearer all of us need to keep our eyes on the Lord Jesus Christ. Although we are not there personally the Holy Spirit will reveal to us both the magnitude and importance of this task as we petition Him day by day. There are so many facets that need prayer that it is hardly possible to cover everything in detail. We need to ask the Holy Spirit to help us, as we do not know what we ought to pray for. We trust that He will intercede for us with groans that words cannot express. (Rom 8:26). Let us pray for:

::ANGUS::

• His health, sound mind, effervescent (bubbling) love, compassion, discernment of spirits, unwavering faith, trust, humility, and to be very courageous and strong.
• That he may be totally surrendered to the Lord and resting in the Lord’s ability to work through him. Not to worry or fret about anything regarding the conference or anything else that the enemy may want to use in order to distract Angus from the main thing.

::JILL::

• Not to be overwhelmed by the masses of people or the greatness of the occasion
• To continue to be a committed helper and faithful support for Angus during this time of extraordinary happenings.

::ANDY::

• That he may select the songs that will create a spirit of worship in the people and lay a spiritual foundation for Angus’ ministry
• That he and all the members of the worship team may be anointed by the Holy Spirit when they minister to the people of God in psalms, hymns and spiritual songs.

::ORGANISERS::

• All the people that will be directly and indirectly involved in:
• The control and co-ordination of the event
• The erection and maintaining of all the sophisticated (and temperamental) sound equipment
• The erection and building of infrastructure such as, the stage, parking areas, camp sites, water supply, electricity, toilets, showers, building of new access roads and food outlets.
• DVD and all other event recordings
• Security and safety, traffic control, crowd control, disaster management.

::GENERAL::

• Crowd patience. Tolerance of one another. Unity, love and kindness amongst all.
• Safety on the roads
• Increase in the daily registrations so as to avoid a last minute rush
• That people from al walks of life may be called to attend

The FERN & The BAMBOO

One day I decided to quit … I quit my job,  my relationship,

my spirituality …  I wanted to quit my life.  I went to the woods

to have  one last talk with God.

“God”, I said. “Can you give me one good reason not to quit?”

His answer surprised me…”Look around”,  He said. “Do you

see  the fern  &  the bamboo?”

“Yes”,  I replied.

“When I planted the fern and the bamboo seeds,  I took very

good care of them.  I gave them light.  I gave them water.

The fern quickly grew  from the earth.

Its brilliant green covered the floor. Yet nothing came from

the bamboo seed.  But I did NOT quit on the bamboo.

In the second year,  the Fern grew more vibrant and plentiful.

And again,  nothing came from the bamboo seed.  But I did

NOT quit on the bamboo”.

He said. “In the third year,  there was still nothing from the

bamboo seed.  But I would NOT quit.  In the fourth year,

again,  there was nothing from the bamboo seed.  But I

would NOT give up on it.”

He said.  “Then in the fifth year a ‘tiny sprout’ emerged from

the earth.  Compared to the fern,   it was seemingly small

and insignificant.

But just 6 months later the bamboo rose to over 100 feet tall!!

It had spent the five years growing ROOTS….

Those roots made it strong and gave it what it needed to survive. 

 I would not give any of my creations a challenge it could not handle.”

He said to me. “Did you know, my child, that all this time you

have been struggling,  YOU have actually been GROWING ROOTS.

I would not quit on the bamboo.  I will never quit on YOU. 

Don’t compare yourself to others.”

He said. “The bamboo had a ‘different purpose’ than the fern,

yet,  they BOTH make the forest beautiful..”

“Your time will come,”  God said to me.  “You will rise high!”

I left the forest and brought back this story.  I hope these

words can help you see that God will NEVER give up on you …

Never regret a day in your life.
Good days give you ‘Happiness’.
Bad days give you ‘Experiences’.
Both are ‘essential’ to life.
Keep going . . . . . . .
Happiness keeps you ‘Sweet’,
Trials keep you ‘Strong’,
Sorrows keep you ‘Human’,
Failures keep you ‘Humble’,
Success keeps you ‘Glowing’,
But Only God keeps ‘You Going’!
